Terms of Use
Effective 23 October 2026. The terms that govern your use of GiveMeAFuckingJ*b, its website and its services.
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are a legal agreement between you and GiveMeAFuckingJ*b ("we", "us" or "our"). They govern your use of our desktop application, our website at givemeafuckingjob.com and the GiveMeAFuckingJ*b social network on it (the "Website"), and the online services that support them (together, the "Service").
The application is published on the Microsoft Store under the name "GMAFJ" (the "App").
By downloading, installing, accessing or using the Service, or by creating an account, you agree to these Terms, to our Privacy Policy and to our AI Disclosure, which form part of these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- You must sign up with an email address of your own at a major email provider.
- You may not use the Service if applicable law prohibits you from doing so, or if we have previously suspended or terminated your account.
2. The Service
The Service helps you look for work and build your professional network. On the Website, you can:
- keep a profile, and design your own profile page;
- share posts, and like, comment on, repost, save and send posts;
- follow people, like and recommend their profiles, endorse their skills, and message people; and
- search the job listings, save jobs, apply to them, and send them to the App with One click apply.
Depending on the features you use, the App can:
- build a résumé from your profile;
- search job sites for roles that match your preferences;
- complete and submit job applications, and create or update your profiles on job sites, using your information;
- apply to the jobs you send it from the Website;
- answer application questions, and write cover letters and profile summaries, using artificial intelligence; and
- prepare emails to people you choose, for your review, and send those you approve from your own email account.
The Service relies on third-party websites and on our servers, and it requires an internet connection. Its features may change over time.
3. Your Account and Profile
(a) Registration and security
You must register with a valid email address and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account, and you must tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
(b) A real person, accurately
Your account and profile must be for you, a real person, under your real name, and the information in them must be true, accurate and current. You may have only one account. You must not create an account or profile for anyone else, for a business, or for a made-up person, and you must not provide information that you are not entitled to use.
(c) Personal use
Your account is personal to you. You may not share it, sell it or transfer it to anyone else.
4. Authorization to Act on Your Behalf
- When you start a job search, an application run, a profile update or an email in the App, or press One click apply on the Website, you instruct and authorize the App to act for you: to sign in to and operate third-party websites and services using the sessions you have created in the App, to enter your information into forms, to upload your documents, to submit applications and profile changes, and to send the emails you approve. A job sent with One click apply is applied to the next time the App is open.
- Applications, profile changes and emails are submitted in your name and are your own. You are solely responsible for their content and their consequences, including every statement made in them.
- The App may submit applications and profile changes without asking you to review each answer. You can review, edit and stop the App's work at any time, and you should review your saved answers and your profiles on job sites regularly.
- Actions completed on third-party websites, such as a submitted application, generally cannot be withdrawn by us.
5. AI-Generated Content
- The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate answers, text and other content ("AI Content"). AI Content may be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date or unsuitable, and may include estimates of the answers you are likely to give where your profile does not contain the information.
- You are solely responsible for reviewing AI Content and for all AI Content submitted or sent on your behalf. Do not rely on AI Content as professional, legal, financial, immigration or career advice.
- We do not guarantee that AI Content will be accurate, suitable or acceptable to any employer or website.
- If you design your profile page with an AI tool of your own choice, that tool is not part of the Service, and you are responsible for what it produces and what you publish.
6. What You Share, and the Community
(a) Your responsibility
You are responsible for everything you share on the Service, including your profile, profile design, posts, pictures, GIFs, comments, messages, endorsements, and your likes and recommendations of profiles ("Your Content"). You must own Your Content or have every right needed to share it.
(b) Who sees it
Your Content is shown to others as your settings and choices allow, as our Privacy Policy explains. A post for "Anyone" can be seen by anyone with its link, and members can like it, comment on it, repost it and send it to anyone within the Service. A post for "Followers only" can be seen only by its author and their followers. A post from a private account, whatever its audience, can be seen only by its followers. Posts are reviewed before they appear on anyone's Home and in search, as Section 12 explains.
(c) Community rules
You must not share or send anything that:
- harasses, bullies, threatens or intimidates anyone, or promotes violence or hatred against people because of who they are;
- is sexually explicit, or exploits or endangers anyone, especially minors;
- is false or misleading, including fake job offers, scams, schemes that charge job seekers to work, and false claims about yourself or others;
- impersonates a person or an organization, or shows someone else's personal information without their permission;
- is spam, including bulk or repetitive follows, follow requests, likes, recommendations, messages, message requests, comments or posts, or unsolicited sales messages;
- infringes anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
- contains malware, or code meant to harm, track or deceive people; or
- is otherwise unlawful.
(d) Reports and moderation
You can report content and people on the Service. We may review, remove or restrict any content, limit features of an account, or suspend or terminate an account, at our discretion, including content that we believe breaks these Terms. We are not obliged to monitor the Service, and we are not responsible for the content other members share.
(e) Blocking
You can block other members. Blocking ends any following between you, and neither of you will see the other on the Service.
7. Profile Designs
- You may design your own profile page in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with up to 60 pictures, within 100 MB in all: up to 2 MB of HTML, 1 MB of CSS and 1 MB of JavaScript, and pictures of up to 30 MB each. Pictures must be JPEG, PNG, GIF or WebP; videos must be YouTube videos. Your design's code must not try to collect what visitors type, track them, mine cryptocurrency, imitate GiveMeAFuckingJ*b's own pages or buttons, or load anything the design does not show. Publishing a design is part of Pro, which is free for everyone until 31 December 2026.
- A design is shown only after we approve it, as Section 12 explains, and we may turn it down or take it down at any time, including after approving it. Your last approved design stays on your profile until a new one is approved.
- A design is shown in a sealed frame: its JavaScript runs there but cannot reach anyone's account, the page around it or our servers, and cannot send anything anywhere; forms send nothing; frames other than YouTube videos, and anything that could take over the page around it, are removed or blocked; links to other sites open in a new tab; and only pictures stored on the Service, fonts from Google Fonts and code libraries from cdnjs load. A design may therefore look or work differently from what you wrote. On your profile it fills the window, with GiveMeAFuckingJ*b's menu and two small bars of your profile's buttons over it.
- Your design must follow the community rules in Section 6 and must not imitate GiveMeAFuckingJ*b's own pages, buttons or sign-in forms, or anyone else's.
- We may change these limits.
8. Following, Messages and Communities
- You can follow other members. A public account can be followed by anyone at once. A private account ("Private account" in Settings) approves each request to follow it.
- Anyone can message anyone. Messages between two people who follow each other reach their inbox. Other messages go to the recipient's message requests, where the recipient can accept or delete them, and the sender does not see that a request was read until it is accepted.
- Anyone can make a community or join one, and anyone signed in can read a community's messages. If you make a community, you run it: you choose its admins, and you and they decide whether everyone who joins can write in it or only admins, can let a member write or stop them, and can remove members. A community and its messages must follow these Terms, and we may delete any community that does not.
- You must not use follows, messages, message requests or communities to send spam or unsolicited sales messages.
- Anyone signed in can endorse the skills on a profile, and like or recommend a profile. A recommendation is shown to the people who follow you, on the profile you recommend and on yours. Endorse and recommend only from real knowledge of the person or their work, and never in exchange for payment or anything else of value.
9. Emails You Send
- When you use the App's email feature, you are the sender of every message. You must have a lawful basis to contact each recipient, and you must comply with all applicable laws on electronic communications, privacy and unsolicited messages, and with your email provider's terms.
- You must not use the Service to send bulk unsolicited messages, or to harass, deceive or mislead anyone.
- You are responsible for the content of your messages and for responding to recipients' requests, including requests to stop contacting them.
10. Third-Party Services and Your Accounts With Them
- The Service interacts with websites and services that we do not own or control, such as job sites, employers' career pages and application systems, email providers and AI providers ("Third-Party Services"). Your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies, which you are responsible for reading and following.
- Some Third-Party Services restrict or prohibit automated access. Using the App with them may breach their terms, and they may, at their discretion, limit, suspend, restrict or permanently ban your accounts, reject your applications or take other action against you.
- We work to reduce these risks, for example by pacing the App's activity, but we cannot prevent them. You use the App with Third-Party Services at your own risk, and you are solely responsible for any consequences to your accounts with them, including suspensions and bans.
- We are not responsible for Third-Party Services, including their availability, accuracy, content, security, decisions or handling of your information, and we do not endorse them.
- Third-Party Services may change without notice in ways that stop the App from working with them.
11. Job Listings
- The jobs listed on the Website come from employers and job sites. We do not write, verify or endorse them, and they may be inaccurate, out of date or already filled.
- Applying to a job opens its employer's or job site's own page, where their terms apply. We are not a party to any application, hiring decision or employment.
- Showing that people you follow applied to a job, or how many people applied through GiveMeAFuckingJ*b, is not a recommendation of the job.
12. Review of Posts and Designs
- We review every post you share before it appears on anyone's Home or in search. Until it is approved, it appears only on your profile. A post that is not approved can be seen only by you, with the reviewer's reason, which we also send to you by email. If you edit a post, we review it again before it returns to anyone's Home. A recommendation of a profile adds nothing of its own, so it is not reviewed.
- We review every profile design before it is shown. We tell you the outcome by email, with the reviewer's reason when the design is not approved.
- We review reported content. To act on a report about a message, we can read that message, and only that one.
13. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive purpose, including submitting false or misleading information to employers;
- impersonate any person, or misrepresent your identity, qualifications or affiliations;
- provide another person's information without their authority, or use accounts on Third-Party Services that are not yours;
- use the Service to send spam, or to harass, threaten or abuse anyone;
- copy, scrape or collect profiles, posts or other content from the Website by automated means, or use bots or scripts to follow, like or recommend people or to send messages, likes or comments;
- interfere with, disrupt or overload the Service, our servers or networks, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to them or to other users' accounts;
- copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease the App, or create derivative works from it, except as the law expressly permits;
- decompile, reverse engineer or disassemble the App, or attempt to derive its source code, except to the extent the law permits despite this restriction;
- remove or alter any notice, or circumvent any security measure, usage limit or access control of the Service, including the limits on profile designs;
- resell the Service, provide it to third parties, or use it to build a competing product; or
- use the Service in any way that violates these Terms or the rights of others.
14. Price, Pro and Fees
- Everything on the Service, including Pro, is free for everyone until 31 December 2026. Nothing is charged during that time, and you do not need to give any payment details.
- Pro includes publishing your own profile page design. The free plan includes everything else, making a design and seeing it included; on the free plan, the App sends one application at a time.
- After 31 December 2026 we may charge for Pro or other plans. We will show the price, billing period, renewal terms and usage limits before you buy, and nothing will be charged unless you choose to buy. Payments will be processed by third-party payment providers under their terms. Unless the law requires otherwise, fees are non-refundable, and taxes may apply.
- We may change the features, limits and prices of the Service. A change to fees will not affect a period you have already paid for.
15. Advertising
The Service does not show advertising.
16. Updates and Availability
- The App contacts our servers when it starts and may not open while our servers cannot be reached. The Microsoft Store version is updated through the Microsoft Store.
- We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee that the Service will be available, uninterrupted or free of errors.
17. Intellectual Property
(a) Our property
The Service, including the App, the Website and their software, design, text, graphics and trademarks, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law. Except for the license in Section 18, these Terms grant you no rights in it.
(b) Your content
You keep ownership of Your Content and of the information and documents you provide to the App. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, transmit, display and adapt the format of it (for example, to resize a picture) as needed to operate and provide the Service, including showing Your Content to others as your settings and choices allow, and sending information to Third-Party Services and AI providers as described in our Privacy Policy. This license ends when Your Content is deleted from our systems, except for copies we must keep by law and content already sent or shared at your direction.
(c) Feedback
If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you.
18. License to Use the App
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own job search. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
19. Microsoft Store
If you obtained the App from the Microsoft Store:
- these Terms are between you and us only, not Microsoft, and we, not Microsoft, are solely responsible for the App, its content, maintenance and support, and any warranty or claim relating to it; and
- your use of the App is also subject to the Microsoft Store's terms and usage rules. Where these Terms conflict with those usage rules, the usage rules apply to the extent of the conflict.
20. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and share personal information, and what other people can see, and our AI Disclosure explains how the Service uses artificial intelligence.
21. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement.
In particular, we do not warrant that:
- the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or free of errors;
- the Service will work with any particular Third-Party Service, or that any Third-Party Service will not restrict your accounts;
- AI Content, or anything else the Service produces, will be accurate, complete or suitable;
- members are who they say they are, or that their profiles, posts, endorsements, recommendations or job listings are accurate; or
- you will receive interviews, job offers, responses or any other result.
Figures and examples on the Website are illustrations, not promises of results.
22. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will we, our affiliates, licensors or service providers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, employment or other opportunities, data or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with the Service or these Terms, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
This includes damages arising from:
- the restriction, suspension or banning of your accounts with Third-Party Services;
- applications, profile changes or emails submitted or sent through the Service, and any AI Content;
- the content, conduct or messages of other members or visitors, and job listings;
- the acts, omissions or decisions of employers, job sites, email providers, AI providers or other third parties; and
- unauthorized access to your device or accounts, or loss of data.
Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) one thousand Indian rupees (INR 1,000).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions and limitations above apply to the fullest extent permitted.
23. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless us, our affiliates, licensors and service providers, and their officers, employees and agents, from and against all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) Your Content, and any application, profile change or email submitted or sent through the Service on your behalf; (c) your breach of these Terms or of the terms of any Third-Party Service; or (d) your violation of any law or of the rights of any third party.
24. Suspension and Termination
- You may stop using the Service at any time, and you may delete your account in Settings or ask us to delete it.
- We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that you have breached these Terms, created risk or possible legal exposure for us or others, or used the Service fraudulently or harmfully, or if we discontinue the Service.
- When your access ends, your license to use the App ends and you must stop using it. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including Sections 4 to 9, 17 and 21 to 27, will survive.
25. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page with a new effective date and, if the changes are material, give notice on the Website, in the App or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept them. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
26. Governing Law and Disputes
- These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or to the Service, are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of laws rules.
- Before starting any formal proceeding, you agree to contact us and to try to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days.
- Any dispute not resolved informally will be finally resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, by a sole arbitrator appointed in accordance with that Act. The seat and venue of the arbitration will be New Delhi, India, and the proceedings will be conducted in English.
- Subject to the arbitration clause above, the courts at New Delhi, India have exclusive jurisdiction, including for interim relief.
- To the extent permitted by law, disputes will be resolved only on an individual basis and not as a class, collective or representative action, and any claim must be brought within one (1) year after it arose.
- Nothing in this Section limits rights you have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your place of residence that cannot be waived by contract.
27. General
- Entire agreement: these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the AI Disclosure, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
- Severability: if any provision is held unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent possible, and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
- No waiver: our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment: you may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, or to an affiliate.
- Force majeure: we are not liable for any delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
- Notices: we may give you notices on the Website, in the App or by email.
- Language: these Terms are written in English. Any translation is provided for convenience only.
28. Contact
