AI Disclosure
Effective 21 October 2026. How GiveMeAFuckingJ*b uses artificial intelligence, what its limits are, and what you are responsible for.
This AI Disclosure explains how GiveMeAFuckingJ*b ("we", "us" or "our") uses artificial intelligence ("AI") in our desktop application and the services that support it. The application is published on the Microsoft Store under the name "GMAFJ" (the "App").
This disclosure forms part of our Terms of Use and should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. Summary
- The App uses third-party AI models, accessed through our servers, to write content and make choices on job applications, job-site profiles and emails for you.
- AI output can be wrong. When your profile does not contain an answer, the AI may estimate the answer you are most likely to give.
- The App can submit applications and profile changes without showing you each answer first. Emails are never sent without your approval.
- You are responsible for everything submitted or sent in your name.
2. How the App Uses AI
(a) Application and profile questions
The AI answers the questions that job sites and employers ask, including free-text, drop-down, multiple-choice and yes-or-no questions, using your profile and job preferences. It does the same when the App creates or updates your profile on a job site.
(b) Written content
The AI writes cover letters, profile summaries and similar text tailored to the role or the site.
(c) Emails
The AI drafts emails to the people you choose, using your profile and publicly available information about each recipient, such as their name, role and employer. Every draft is shown to you, and nothing is sent until you approve it.
(d) Operating websites
The AI may help the App decide how to proceed on a page, for example which button closes an unexpected dialog.
(e) Saved answers
Answers are saved on your device and may be reused when the same question is asked again in later applications. You can review your saved answers in the App.
3. What the AI Does Not Do
- It does not decide whether you are hired. Employers make their own decisions, which may involve their own automated tools that we do not control.
- We do not use AI to make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects, such as decisions about your access to the Service.
- The AI does not receive your passwords for job sites or email accounts, or any payment card details.
- The App does not use AI to complete captchas or other human verification checks. It pauses and asks you to complete them.
4. Information Sent to AI Providers
- For each task, the App sends the relevant information through our servers to an AI provider: the question and its options, details of the job, employer or recipient, and the relevant parts of your profile.
- To keep answers consistent, the provider may keep a conversation linked to your account that contains your profile information and earlier questions.
- AI providers process this information under their own terms and may retain it. Their terms may allow them to use it to improve their services. Do not add information to your profile that you do not want processed in this way.
- Section 7 of our Privacy Policy describes this processing in more detail.
5. Accuracy and Limitations
- AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, inconsistent, or unsuitable for a particular employer or country.
- When your profile does not answer a question, the AI may give its best estimate of the answer you would likely give, based on your profile and preferences, rather than leave the question unanswered. These estimates can be wrong.
- The AI can misread a question, choose the wrong option, or misstate facts about you or a recipient.
- Websites change frequently, and the App may fill in a form incorrectly or incompletely as a result.
- AI output is not professional, legal, immigration, tax or career advice.
6. Human Review and Control
- Applications and job-site profile updates may be submitted without your review of each answer. You can stop a run or a profile update at any time.
- You can review and edit your profile and your saved answers in the App at any time, and you should check your profiles on job sites after the App updates them.
- Emails are never sent automatically. You review and approve every email before it is sent.
- Actions completed on third-party websites, such as submitted applications, generally cannot be undone by us.
7. Your Responsibilities
- Keep your profile accurate and complete, since the AI relies on it.
- Review what the App submits and sends in your name, and correct anything that is wrong.
- Do not use the App to make false statements to employers or to anyone else.
- You are responsible for all content submitted or sent on your behalf.
8. Disclosure to Others
Content that the App submits or sends is presented in your name and is not labeled as AI-generated. If an employer, a website or the law requires you to disclose the use of AI in an application or a communication, you are responsible for doing so.
9. Reporting Problems
If AI output is inaccurate, offensive or otherwise inappropriate, contact us at [email protected] with a description, so that we can investigate and improve the Service.
10. Changes
We may update this AI Disclosure as the Service changes. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
